A feminist perspective on the history of misdiagnosis and dismissal of people suffering with symptoms of early menopause. The work includes interviews, portraits and a collection of data from women and a trans gender man about their experiences of early menopause and the effects of their lack of autonomy and access to treatment.

The work looks at the socio economic disparities in access and availability of medical treatment. It also touches on the gender bias in medical research and male-centric medicine which threatens to endanger women health.

The data has been translated into portraits depicting elements of a plant called Black Cohosh, a phytoestrogen that is often used as a natural replacement for oestrogen which is, more often than not, ineffectual. The animated data portraits feature as an overlay in a short documentary about the work.
