In Praise of Darkness responds to the late, great Argentinian author, Jorge Luis Borges’ ‘Collected Fictions’.
A great admirer of Lewis Carroll and arcane English scholarship, both real and imagined, Borges’ mischievous, meta-textual stories are a ’Through the Looking Glass’ experience. Nothing is real, everything is true. Immersive, dizzying and profound, Borges’ playful, allegorical texts tease with the infinite complexities of human consciousness and the unquantifiable mysteries of the universe.
Yet he was blind, and he was blind. Mystery upon mischief.
