Restless Bodies

In this playful yet probing exhibition, artists harness the dynamic possibilities of video and film to explore the body not merely as subject, but as instrument, site, and agent of transformation. Through the lens of moving images, space becomes elastic—bent, stretched, and reshaped by the gestures that pass through it. These works do not just depict bodies; they choreograph them into visual poems, compressing entire narratives into a glance, a twitch, or a tremble.

Restless Bodies invites us to reconsider the act of moving as something more than physical. In the tension between motion and stillness, between the mundane and the dramatic, we encounter a language that is both universal and deeply personal. These works celebrate the strange beauty of physicality, revealing how movement shapes our understanding of space, identity, and existence itself.

Restless Bodies is part of this year’s Coastal Currents Festival 2025
